Description

Cannabis use can impact our perception, communication, and physical experiences, including sex. What does this mean in our relationships? Join WWU professors Dr. Mary Hunt and Dr. Josh Kaplan, two academic experts conducting research in sexual health, public health, cannabis, science, and the brain, for an engaging conversation on April 16, 4:30-6 PM in Carver 104. They will share research on cannabis and consent and answer student questions about these topics. A Weed Awareness Week event.

About the Speakers

Dr. Mary Hunt is an Associate Professor of Public Health and directs the Research in Repro And Sexuality (RRAS or "razz") lab, which studies aspects of sexuality in order to improve sexual health outcomes, education, and enhance people’s sexual experiences. Most recently, her work focuses on how people negotiate consent in cannabis-involved sexual situations.

Dr. Josh Kaplan is an Associate Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience. His lab studies the developmental impacts and therapeutic effects of cannabis in pre-clinical rodent models of disease and psychological disorders.
