Description

After Western’s Bike Festival, come with us to explore Bellingham by bike. The ride will begin at the Outdoor Center on campus, head down towards Fairhaven, ride along the South Bay Trail, and back up to campus through Downtown Bellingham. In total, this will be about a 5-mile ride, which is approachable for anyone who can ride a bike. Riders of all skill levels are encouraged to join us. The group will make frequent stops to make sure everyone is together and to point out interesting landmarks around town. For new students, this is a great way to check out a bit more of the Bellingham area. This ride will stay on quieter roads and be more approachable for students not used to riding on the street, so come try it out!

Everyone can borrow a bike or helmet from the Outdoor Center if needed. Please indicate if you need a bike or helmet below.

Class Requirements: Closed-toe shoes, ability to ride uninterrupted, ability to start and stop under control, confidence to ride on quiet city streets.

For disability accommodations, questions, or requests please contact atc@wwu.edu at least one week before the event. For more information visit our website.
