Description

Welcome to the first meeting of the year for the WWU Political Economy Club! After a short get-to-know-you activity, we'll be discussing the U.S national debt. The national debt is currently approaching $29,000,000,000,000. With the debt ceiling and the potential of default in the recent news, what does this all mean? Who do we owe all this money to? And, does any of it actually matter?

We welcome all members of the campus community to participate in this meeting. No technical knowledge of economics or political science is required. We will provide a short primer on national debt basics at the beginning of the meeting.

We will also provide more information on the PEC Leadership team for those interested in becoming an officer.
