Intro to Sailing at Lakewood (Tuesday/Thursday Series)

Registration for this event will open April 26th @ 10am. Blue RSVP button will be visible on this page at that time. 

 

This is a series of 6 lessons, beginning on May 16th, running Tues/Thurs for 3 weeks.

Come learn to sail a small boat! Lakewood student staff will help you gain sufficient knowledge and skills to continue to sail at Lakewood independently or with friends. Lifejackets provided and required. Be prepared with a change of clothes and footwear that can get wet! Transportation is included from the OC at Viking Union 150, leaving at 4:15pm SHARP. COST: $30 for the 6 lesson series

These lessons are hosted at Lakewood, which is WWU’s Watersports Facility, located on Lake Whatcom, offering rentals and lessons for sailing, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and more.

 

Essential Eligibility:

Participants should be able to comfortably sit and move around in a small boat!

 

Lesson dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:40-7:10 PM for three consecutive weeks: May 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, 30th, and June 1st. Transportation included each lesson day, leaving from the OC at 4:15pm and returning at 7:30pm
