BikeFest Group Ride to Lake Whatcom

Join us for a group ride around Bellingham on some of our favorite paths! All participants will receive a free set of bike light or bike tools to ride with and take home. We will ride at a slow to moderate pace, so don't worry if you aren't a frequent rider - everyone who can ride a bike is welcome. Experience the joys of riding in a group! 

Details: 

- The ride will meet outside the Outdoor Center, head down to Waypoint Park, ride through the Lettered Streets neighborhood, head to the Railroad Trail, ride to Lake Whatcom, and head back to campus. Check out the 10-mile route on Google Maps. 

- If you have your own bike please bring it, but if not bikes and helmets will be provided free of charge through the Outdoor Center.

- We will be riding even if it is raining. Please dress accordingly!

- Participants will have the opportunity to choose between receiving a set of Rechargeable bike lights, a bike handpump, or a multi-tool.

- How to get to the Outdoor Center: The Outdoor Center is located on the bottom floor of the Viking Union and is accessible from North Garden Street. If you enter the Viking Union from High Street, you can take the elevator down to the first floor.

- This event is for Western Washington University students and staff only.
