Anyone who is a student at Western Washington University–regardless of major, class standing, or identity–and wants to join Alpha Kappa Psi can rush. Founded in 1904 at New York University, Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest co-ed professional development fraternity with the sole purpose of preparing its members into emerging, professional leaders at the collegiate level. The Omega Beta chapter at Western Washington University was founded in 2009 and is home to more than 200+ alumni members, some of which have gone on to work at companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Boeing, and countless other companies. Our chapter is made of highly motivated members from a wide variety of academic disciplines, ranging from business, liberal arts, and natural sciences. At Alpha Kappa Psi, we pride ourselves in fostering professional and personal growth of our members. We educate our members on resume writing and interviewing skills, have guest speakers at our meetings, hold various networking events, provide workshops for other students on campus, and perform service for the greater community. While creating lifelong bonds with one another.
We are not affiliated with social Greek organizations and do not participate/promote hazing.
