Competitive Programming Club
About
What is our mission?
To prepare all students doing programming to excel in their future career goals in an inclusive and fun environment!
How do we do this?
- Focus on networking: Make club meetings social with icebreakers and group work so that people can get to know each other.
- Focus on technical interview prep: Work on Leetcode-style problems and teach the proper techniques to solve them. This is the focal point of the CPC.
- Hold competitions and go to the ICPC: Give students a chance to win titles to put on their resume and a reason to practice by providing events to look forward to.
- Supporting the CS department: The better the department and its resources are, the better our education will be.
- Sharing how to take advantage of CS department resources!! One of the biggest things we do to make a difference for new students.
- Make it fun! We want the process to be as painless as possible! No questions are stupid questions, and everyone supports one another in a low-stakes environment made for learning.
How do I join?
- Show up to our weekly meetings (join our Discord for location and time)
- We have regular club meetings where we do icebreakers, talk about resources for school and career, and mostly practice doing Leetcode problems.
- We also have Prep Hour meetings where we will follow a curriculum based on the Blind 75 problem set on NeetCode.
- Here we will have a short lecture on each subsection of the Blind 75 problems and start to complete the problems in the section.
- Students can do the rest of the problems throughout the week if they have time.
- Come to our events like our quarterly CPC Programming Competition!
- Stay up-to-date on our events by joining our Discord!
