Out in Education

Our mission is to ensure that queer preservice teachers feel supported in their identity. Queer community is an asset in uncertain times and situations and we hope that by providing that community we will allow students to gain confidence and skills that will help them as queer educators. By meeting weekly, we are hoping to create a level of accessibility and regularity. Being queer should not be an obstacle to being a teacher or educator.
