About
WHO ARE WE?
Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) is a student organization at Western Washington University that seeks to spread the gospel—the good news of grace in Jesus Christ—through our community to the campus and to the world. Because we believe the gospel of grace is the most powerful tool to bring about personal healing, social reconciliation, and cultural renewal, it is our sincere hope that our presence of campus is life-giving and enriching, whatever your perspective. RUF is committed to maintaining a safe space for all students regardless of faith/denomination/sexual orientation/gender or any other identifier. Membership is open to all students on a non-discriminatory basis.
SMALL GROUPS:
Because we believe that intimate communities and relationships are key components of what it means to flourish as humans, we have small groups that explore Christ, creation, and culture. These small groups are as follows:
- RUF Bible study at the Hannah's home: Monday nights, 5:30 pm-9:00 pm.
- Ecclesiastes Bible Study at WWU: Wednesday afternoons, we’ll meet either at the VU or the Fairhaven Lobby.
- Disc Golf at Cornwall Park: TBD
- Pick up Pickleball at Cornwall Park: TBD
- Movie Nights and dialogue: (tentatively every other Tuesday night at 6:30).
- Book Club: time and place TBD.
- Regular hiking and camping trips: reach out to Tommy Hannah to coordinate (360) 383-6113.
- Retreats: TBD.
LEADERSHIP: TOMMY HANNAH
Tommy was born and raised in the PNW. He is married to Christina (a WWU grad) and has four children (Judah, Hazel, Phoebe, and Deacon). Christina and Tommy both worked at the Light House Mission for three years before moving with their firstborn son to St. Louis in order to get graduate degrees in theology (MDiv. ThM. MaTs.). Some of their favorite hobbies are: backpacking, Disc Golf, Pickleball, reading, bouldering, higher critical learning, cooking, learning new hobbies, and getting to know new people! They love Jesus and have shaped their lives around him and the historical realities of his church.
