WWU Women's Rugby
About
The WWU Women's Rugby Club was established in 1977 and has been growing steadily for the past 40 years. What was once a small, self-coached group is now a strong program of 50+ students who have found their place on the pitch and created an inclusive community while embracing all the amazing things this beloved sport has to offer.
We are a competitive team and look forward to starting our fourth year in D1. Don't let that scare you off though, most players were new to the sport before joining. Our team leadership and volunteer coaches work hard to build a strong foundation of skills that make confident, driven, and fun loving players. While our focus is on the competitive side, we also have friendly games geared towards players who can't fully commit but still want to participate. We welcome everyone who is interested in meeting new people and making the best of their time at Western.
